Am persuaded by years of observation and interaction that many insects are conscious, in some cases capable of complex learning, and that they’re individuals, each one different than others.

I think it's actually not, um, like, most people don't think about self-harm as being purely psychological like that? But for a lot of people it absolutely can be. Just being aware of that at all will help.

you have to train yourself. same as any other type of self-harm. being aware that you're doing it and that it's actually a problem is the first step though, so you're doing that already at least.

Actually I taught myself to swear more in one of my earliest linguistic choices as a kid because it helped me fit in better with everybody else while having autism lol.

Basically yeah. It gets used in a neutral way all the time too. Like "you cunts" meaning "my friends" etc. I don't think it's *not* misogynist, but it's sort of hard to do anything with that in practice because of how most people speak. We swear more in just basic conversation too.
