We've been down this road so many times. It's wild how many people still confuse "liberal" with leftist. Repubs want us all to be slaves, but Liberals want us all to be servants (theyre willing to accept slaves). NeoLibs think they can create a societal mechanism to make us happily CHOOSE servitude.

Don't be cruel to yourself. If you think of humanity's collective spark as sacred, if you worship art or creativity, then AI is literally profane. It is a sign of deepest humanity to find something like AI utterly repulsive, and that rage you feel is the equally human response to such desecration.

If you pay attention to the intellectual circles these guys move in you know that what they want to do is get rid of income tax and replace it with a VAT tax that will disproportionately affect lower income individuals with no investments. This is step 1. Step 2 involves "tarrifs" on US made goods.

Every time anyone mentions Diogenes living in a jar, I remember Reign The Conqueror, an absolutely unhinged animated series made by the Aeon Flux guys that served as my first real introduction to Greek philosophy as a kid. And really, that's the best way to experience Greek philosophy.

For one, Israel is almost certainly heavily entangled in that mess, and that alone is s reason enough for a lot of well-meaning people to look the other way. Then you've got all the investment ghouls and techbros. The entire 20th Century Neo-Liberal global hegemony is very likely to crumble. Crazy.
