"One of the greatest obstacles to voter turnout in general, and youth turnout in particular, is registration... While 18- to 24-year-olds make up less than 12 percent of the adult citizen population, they comprise a much higher rate—17 percent—of those who are unregistered."

👀 Under 30% of 18-year-olds are registered to vote, compared to 75% of those 45+. Imagine the power we unlock when more young people are engaged.

We’re working with high schools every day to make that a reality.

The central point is to increase the infrastructure to get teens to register to vote. Once registered, they tend to actually cast ballots.
We’re thrilled to announce that TCC has a cover story in the Stanford @ssir.org coming out later this month, “Getting Youth Engaged in Democracy.”

Founder & CEO Laura Brill will be in conversation with digital editor Bryan Maygers on Wed, Dec 3. Register today!
