Nightdive, or whoever was trying, went to WB, who potentially owns a fraction. They were offered a share regardless of owning it or not, and WB instantly responded with "we'll sue the shit out of you if you even try to make this"
So WB wants more money but won't spend any to help find ownership.

Like, they were the place you'd go if you wanted to buy someone a Christmas mug with Elvis or Clark Griswold on it.
It felt like in the end, 90% of their Christmas merchandise was gift packages with mugs inside. The rest was wooden signs for the bathroom.
