Any time there is a charge for parking or driving anywhere it's apparently a tax on business/going to work or some such bollocks but ever-increasing (until this year!!) bus and train fares...? Meh. Tough shit.

Public funding for PT and AT is profligate waste / subsidy (delete as appropriate) but the billions we spend on roads is jfine and dandy and the (sometimes eyewatering) amounts that folk spend on buses and trains is also *just how it is*

I managed to squeeze in some tourist stuff... 35 mins on the metro and I was in the centre. An hour or so of wandering the sights as the sun slowly disappeared.

legally you'd need to ride across from one pavement to another and then join carriageway after conflicted crossing (by Cotswold). Clearly it's set up like that to allow cycle travel in the other direction.

technically I think that's a toucan crossing so the green bike really only telling cyclists they can cross from one pavement to another. Obviously will be mis-read - confusing layout and design.

I think that might be the first route I've read that differentiates between asphalt and tarmac!

Wonderful. Who can resist a mash up of the best of Italian and Austrian food and drink? I am hankering for a trip to the Dolomites now!
