Sufea Mohamad Noor is an artist, curator and fundraiser from Liverpool, who is interested in social history and understanding materials. Her work is about making connections with people and materials. She uses recycled, repurposed materials and explores the relationship they have with past owners.

Lou Miller's 'We Dream of Our Freedom' was created in collaboration with local school children, and explores what freedom meant to them.

They explored their individual ideas of what freedom meant, and touched on subjects including equality, care, education, creativity, and the right to be heard.

Ivy Kalungi’s ‘The Hair Shop’ explores Black-owned hair salons, and features interviews with those who visit the salons, and includes objects and materials that you’d find in a typical hair salon.

Garth Gratrix's series of beach towels, 'Shy Girl', are inspired by the seaside culture of his hometown of Blackpool. The minimalist motifs printed onto the towels refernce seaside towns, working-class culture, and LGBTQ+ identity.

Ffion Evans' large textile pieces feature motif's relating to Welsh culture, with spoons and Welsh hats hidden within some patterns and details of her work. She is interested in the hierarchies of craft and labour, and how we can form connections with an artwork through feeling the materials.

Lewis Prosser creates weaved baskets from willow grown in the area of South West England where he grew up. He's inspired by traditional folk characters and costumes, and often creates masks and weaved outfits specifically for performances.

Garth Gratrix’s ‘Shy Girl’ is a series of custom-made beach towels featuring various motifs referencing British seaside towns and LGBTQ+ identity. They’re titled using the names of the paint colours, purposely selected for their innuendo-like names such as ‘Nice Tan, Mermaid Cheeks’.

Lou Miller is a banner maker, textile artist, and activist based in Manchester, UK. Her work is often created out of collaborative workshops and partnerships with grassroots groups, trade unions, and artists.
