I fucking hate all things AI.
neat!

I'm slowly working on refactoring a node graph to use anchor positioning for connective lines and a bounding box:

it's fun, innit?

my humble suggestion:

the silos and ring on this guy are a wonderful feature, even if the overall form of the thing doesn't quite fit:

so, @tiredactor.bsky.social this happened on @freya.bsky.social's stream yesterday where she was talking about 3d model topology, and I'm sorry to say that I immediately thought of you...

What Mango/Lychee tells its users about AI vs what the CEO tells everyone on linkedin...

I hate it here.

feels good to have a dedicated spot for my printer, related tools, and filament... now I gotta make another one for the resin printer...

Andor-style lantern - with my own twist, converted from a thing I found on Amazon (still needs a weathering pass, but I'm waiting on Decals first). Link to 3d printed files are in the next comment.

So I made platforms with little pegs that I'd glue in that receives a coupling nut and has a set screw that keeps the gooseneck in place.

Tonight I started making a modification to Chris Borge's ball vise. Before, I had M8 threads in the little platforms next to the feet, but I found that with my gooseneck accessories that had power cords (lights, fans, etc), the cords would get all twisty and swapping them out ended up being a pain.

made some new bases for the helping hands so they fit into the fixture plate. I think the knurling is sorely missed, though.

unrelated, but just to show off a tad more :P - intersection observer watching that anchor-positioned element signals when you've scrolled off screen, and which direction its in:

I'm so thrilled that anchor positioning has become a thing. I've been rapidly replacing all my hand-rolled popovers with it.
I've even found a way to fake a bounding box in a node editor using it.

I made some 3d-printable Toolmaker & Parallel Clamps. Toys for real machinists, sure, but I've already gotten great mileage out of them when doing small glue-ups of laser cuts.

Sure! >.<

I know the model was built with underslung, backwards, D-style nacelles - so, why not?

still have these on my drive, too:
just, fairly low poly. They work for minis, at least.

for as much crap as everyone gives Electron, I love that in 3 minutes I've got the beginnings of an application running, even if its just a splash page for now. (cc: @norsehound.bsky.social )
