my amazing husband @failnaut.bsky.social handled the painting for me and I finally figured out how I'd attach it without it being permanent AND allowing me to wear the corset regularly :)
Painted small Koopa shell. Black fabric glued to the bottom of the small Koopa shell. Theres a wooden dowel sewed into the middle of the fabric. Velcro is attached to the shell down the length of the covered wooden dowel. The connected piece of velcro is sitting next to the corset, both of which have snap buttons to allow the velcro piece to be temporarily attached to the corset via buttons, and then attached to the shell.

quick tip - an 8-inch soccer ball cake pan mold is perfect for making Bowsette's smaller Koopa shell :)
First stage of assembly on a small Koopa shell - foam cones hot glued to an aluminum soccer ball shaped cake pan. Next stage of assembly on a small Koopa shell - adding greenstuff rings around the cone bases, and a pipe insulator foam tube as the edging of the shell itself.
