I’m the face in the crowd no one sees. Liberal, progressive. A negative optimist. I’m behind you in the grocery store. I sit next to you at the doctor. I am your neighbor.

His birthday is a day of mourning. No park visits for me. Nothing but the singing of dirges, burning his dummy in effigy, tears & wailing.

Sounds like fun, except the tears. Let’s party, sing and shed tears of laughter. Like Whoville did because of the Grinch.

Instead of idiotic reality shows showcasing the ridiculous antics of the rich and famous, what if we had documentaries that highlight the good ordinary people and beautiful places in our country. Think of how unifying that would be.

In the search for all things amusing, I found this sign in a local restaurant. The fact that it's necessary to add "no pants" leaves me with so many questions. I'm sure it's an interesting place to work.

Oregon is a beautiful state. The storm took a tree down along the field outside our bedroom and the sky showed off afterward.

Most Christians are manipulated into thinking they’re the chosen ones. It’s elitist. It discriminates. It’s control.

Most people are sheep & church is a social club with rules you don’t question. Saved=special.

This meshes so well with the Republican agenda it’s terrifying.

If only the idiots that still believe the orange emperor has clothes on could see it.

Asked Chat GPT how the death of American citizens benefit the rich. Yes, I know Chat GPT can go rogue. I like to see what it comes up with. This time the response was chilling. Here’s the summary.

Watching Old Outer Limits episodes. The 1960s were more aware of the need for peace and stewardship of the planet than today. Alien invasions, atom bombs & intolerance were seen as the big threats.

This morning a man started a conversation. He’d been homeless 15 years ago and now lives in a group home. He rode 3 miles on his bike to reach the restaurant.

Gave him my time & attention. He gave me a bag of rocks. He decorates them and shares his love.

What will happen to him?

Asked Chat GPT if there have been an increase in suicides since Trump 2.0.

Here’s what Chat GPT said:

(If only this were true. Checked phrasing with Google Search. No problem there.)

Asked Chat GPT if it can be tampered with to see what it’d say. It had a list of ways. Summed answer up with the following. Just how trustworthy is our current administration?

The potential to alter facts, manipulate and lie took a giant leap.

Do not overthink this. I often run across the unusual or unexpected. I try to look for them to make life interesting. These shoes were outside a KFC. Why? How? The Invisible Man?

Reading more. Doomscrolling less. Recommend Dan Simmons book “ The Terror.”

Watched Netflix limited series. Book is a bit different but a great read.

The title is timely…
