They built a McDonald's in my suburb about 12 years ago.
The world didn't come to an end.
We have toilets 24/7-which is a big if you are a bus driver or an old bloke on meds.
Almost no one got fat.
Thousands of young, local people were introduced to working life.

I loved the thought that one of us might be 53, hahaha.
"Anniversary," we said in unison.
"You must be very proud to have stayed together for all that time," she said. "We are," we said, again in unison.
She gave us a chocolate mousse as a present.

So, I'm rubbing stuff on my sore knee, and I look out of the window, and I see our resident rat mum moving house - one baby at a time. Overhead, a kookaburra, but the rat uses the open gate as cover.
This was trip 2. She made 3 trips while I was watching.
It's a jungle out there.
