“You went and got your gun when I was trying your doors, but only called the cops when my friend was breaking into your neighbor’s house, interesting…”

*ding dong* Get on the fucking train or don’t, we’re leaving

Unironically I’ve been looking at getting a Linux machine after years of shit-talking Linux.

Schrödinger’s Comedian in action - they poke and look for a weakness and if you don’t show it it’s played off as just a joke, our senile prick president just trollololing over the weekend.

Awesome, they can stop that 51st state talk then.

I can’t speak to mice but Alberta is famous for its anti-rat policies, which probably also contributed to it

Out of curiosity, what’s the trick?

There’s not even really that much oil money to be made. The local oil is generally expensive to refine and not that profitable. At this point I’m increasingly leaning towards ‘Trump wanted to screw over both Maduro and Machado and found a way to get them both’.

Wow, getting news from the capitalist press? Sounds like something a class traitor would do. You should fear for your safety, wrecker. /s

Karl was taken by Poster’s Madness during an absolutely insane struggle session yesterday against Sky Marchini over the latter’s explanation of why VZ isn’t actually a great oil conquest and he started calling for Sky to be doxxed and get death threats, then ultimately got banned.

It’s $8/month but my carrier actually has something kinda like this but without the slow connection, a 2 GB unlimited calling and texting plan. It would definitely reduce my doomscrolling.

All the minimalist phones suck, and they can’t not suck because we’ve built a society where everyone is presumed to have a functional smartphone at all times. So even if you get one it really can only be a second toy device and you still have to have a main real device at times.

They also announced a magsafe bluetooth physical keyboard and I understand the desire for that a billion times more than I understand wanting a ‘Blackberry for (my) phone.’ I may grab that one.
January 3, 2026 at 7:41 AM
I’m glad someone else had the same thought about where this was going
January 2, 2026 at 7:03 PM
Then obviously you want to have a functional society so his healthcare is affordable while he curses you every step of the way to getting it there but that’s life.

You’re not supposed to say it but this guy probably doesn’t vote regularly and turning him into a ‘they’re all crooks/two sides of the same coin/etc.’ guy who doesn’t vote is probably a lot less trouble than turning him into a resistlib.

I've always been a bit confused by the mutual part. Why would I expect or want someone with far less than me to feel any obligation to me? Their life is hard enough.

🤷‍♂️ I mean I’m just some dude on the Internet, you can do what you like. Personally I think the risk/reward relationship is unfavorable but if you disagree with that you can give her a few bucks here: www.katforillinois.com
Kat for Congress | Kat Abughazaleh for Illinois' Ninth District
Kat Abughazaleh is running for Congress in Illinois' Ninth District because Democrats need to do more to stop Trump and fight for working people.

And just as importantly, its ability to compel the most financially secure to provide more resources

The biggest reason is that giving people things of value could be seen as bribing potential voters, especially in the eyes of, say, a hostile federal government that’s already trying to persecute you for protesting their secret police raids

I do enjoy the common retort against household median net worth statistics: Oh yeah, well what about people who only have $200k in positive home equity and they lose their jobs?

Pouring one out for that most oppressed part of the proletariat: Overleveraged homeowners.

Stancil did this a week or so ago, as I recall
