Some of his contributions to the screenplays are brilliant – including Fassbinder’s “Despair”, and the TV version of Ford Maddox Ford’s “Parade’s End” (others, like “Shakespeare in Love”, somewhat less so”)

A reminder that this is the 10th anniversary of the passing of the Irish gender recognition act, which enables people over 18 to self-declare their gender identity, and also includes provisions for those aged 16-17. It has led to none of the apocalyptic consequences often evoked by GCs

It’s none of the above… and it’s a very very strange way of phrasing. It will be common in French to say « on vous encourage de savourer » but in its current form, it is effectively meaningless.
