Just adapt. It's not that different and far more portable.

In some ways it may help PopOS or Ubuntu to simply minimize Linux as part of the brand and help break away from the public perception that Linux is a complicated and niche OS meant only for nerds.

And Linux needs a brand win. They need someone like Lenovo to make Ubuntu or something the default for Thinkpads.

Also, as much as I hate it, there has to be an Adobe CS transplant. GIMP and Inkscape aren't replacing it as a professional toolkit. Blender isn't replacing After Effects.

We're definitely getting there. Proton invisibly makes the majority of Windows games just run on Linux, the app stores for most apps simplify a lot of installation needs, and UIs have improved massively, but there are still many drivers and other utility packages that use Terminal first.
