my "don't disclose whether career prosecutors wrote a memo recommending against indicting Comey prior to Halligan going to the grand jury" shirt has people asking a lot of questions already answered by the shirt.
BREAKING: Prosecutors in the Comey case just told the judge that they’re under orders from the Deputy Attorney Generals’s office not to disclose whether career prosecutors wrote a memo recommending *against* indicting Comey prior to Halligan going to the grand jury.

one thing about this is that in the wake of all of this kirk is basically forgotten. he was barely cold in the ground before his allies — before his *wife* — started scheming over what they could take for themselves. a real life parable.
New: Reuters has tallied job losses, suspensions and investigations stemming from the reaction to Charlie Kirk's Sept. 10 assassination. Its findings: More than 600 Americans have been punished, and the figure is likely to be an under-count.

this neighborhood kid dressed as the lorax for Halloween and was so oddly off-putting that my 2yo nephew is still bringing it up unprovoked. every few days it's "no lorax, don't like lorax."

the remarkably consistent through-line, for the past decade, from Trump and now his entire party, is that the wealthy elites of the world should be able to decide who lives and dies.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

as a matter of basic math housing would be cheaper if we murdered tens of millions of people but just hear me out, maybe it's not good policy?
HUD Secretary Scott Turner: "I want to get to the root: over 12 million illegal aliens came into our country, which has put a great strain on our housing supply and affordability."

my only wish is that this horror charade ends quickly enough that John C Reilly gets to play this part in the farcical retelling of it.

I don't think many people fully grasp just how much money a billion dollars is or how much money the richest people really have.

this headline would have been worthy of criticism in 2017. in 2025 it's straight up criminal malpractice.

meritocracy is back.
The attorney general and the FBI director, a manosphere podcaster bro, pulled into the situation room a member of Congress best known for getting kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for drunkenly giving her date a handy, in order to pressure her about the president's child sex trafficking scandal.

November 12th, 1970, 450kg of dynamite is placed in the sand on the leeward side of the 45ft deceased sperm whale, the resulting blast is recorded and broadcast on KATU

the explosion launched chunks of whale nearly a fifth of a mile, some large enough to damage vehicles

"And James Bond, who did NOT die"
November 11, 2025 at 12:49 PM
It's genuinely a better premise, and plays well into the secret agent mythology, to assume "James Bond" is a code name for whichever agent holds the title at the time.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
