Signed into law by @governor.ca.gov this year, SB 57 by @padilla.senate.gov (D-San Diego) will require the Public Utilities Commission to study the impact of data centers on costs for other customers and report their findings to the legislature.

AB 979 will require the California Cybersecurity Integration Center to develop a California AI Cybersecurity Collaboration Playbook to facilitate information sharing across the cyber and AI communities and to strengthen collective cyber defenses against emerging threats.
