As an adult, I have "tv" work and "silent" work time. I can't effectively read or write complex texts with competing input. But simple tasks are fine. Students may have a different threshold for productivity but I imagine it varies according to the individual

This is HUGE. @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social stands for so much of what teachers want: fair pay, workers’ rights, affordable quality healthcare & childcare, anti-fascist, equitable policies that support our communities…and it’s starting to feel like we can actually get some of these things.
