When the White House posts propaganda that mocks immigrants and traffics in hate, it’s not a “joke.”

Official government communications should never look like this.

Cruelty isn’t festive.
Hate isn’t governance.
It’s an abuse of power.

2. Article 18 of the declaration safeguards the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion — including the freedom to alter your beliefs or to have none at all. In other words, your conscience isn’t up for public lease. Your brain, your business.
