When folks go to the hospital and they're held involuntarily for substance use (gravely disabled), once they metabolize the substance, they can no longer be held involuntarily, Quist said.

DA Ho said they've gotten over 800 calls for service at least year and a half at St. Clair Hotel downtown, which is affordable housing that cost about 600k/unit. One of the calls was someone throwing a dresser out the second floor window, he said. Also knives/guns.
