One of the main things I've learned in my reporting on electricity generation and greenhouse gas contributions overall is that each state's path to cutting emissions looks somewhat different. There are common solutions but no exact duplicates.

Just, for example, anybody who follows electricity markets, this is ... not common. But it also oversimplifies a somewhat significant seasonal shift AND also the zero-emission energy california is exporting during the spring to other western states.
