Obi-Wan, after coming back and starting uni, tries to deny his feelings and goes out with the worst frat boys at his uni. Anakin is at home, seething as he sees the pictures. He wishes Obi-Wan would see how much he loves him and that he would treat him so much better than those guys.

Anakin, of course, has had a crush on Obi-Wan for a while. His puppy worship turned into attraction when he saw Obi-Wan going out with that ugly ass Cody guy some day and realized, nobody is good enough for Obi-Wan but him.

Obi-Wan is incapable of pretending his love for him is "brotherly" any longer.

He comes back after almost two years (decided to stay at some place to do some volunteer work after his first year), Anakin's puberty is done and has turned the pimpled teenager into a gorgeous young man.

When Obi-Wan finishes school and leaves 15-year-old Anakin to travel the world, little Ani is heartbroken. Obi-Wan sends him postcards from everywhere he goes.

Ben, who thought Anakin had become a monster. A monster he had killed himself. Ben, who heard from Reva that the monster is still alive. Ben, who suddenly looks into familiar, beloved blue eyes.

Anakin laughs—who could be better for this than him, Leia's father? So he goes to get her back.... Just like Ben does.

They slowly become closer and Anakin gains back some hope, even smiles a bit sometimes...
So when he hears that Leia got kidnapped while he was on a mission for the rebellion, he's furious, of course. Bail tells him that he's already got his best man on it.

But when he sees the brokenness in Anakin's eyes, he knows what he has to do. He introduces Anakin to Leia—they agree that Anakin is not fit to be her dad atm, but he should be part of her life.

Bail is shocked and confused because he thought Anakin was Vader and wtf is going on? He doesn't trust Anakin at first, thinks it must be some trick from Sidious... But when he realizes that this is actually Anakin, he is conflicted about Leia.

Until Ahsoka finds him and convinces him to join the rebellion. Anakin is happy to see her alive and well, but is still hesitant. "Do it for them, Anakin, do it for everything and everyone you lost" is what finally gets him.
Eventually, he meets Bail for one of his missions.

When Anakin manages to break free, he hears that Padmé and his child are dead, Obi-Wan is dead, everyone from the order is dead. Broken and hurt, because this is all his fault, he goes into hiding.
