Freya is quite pleased with the fact that my blue sky account that has her face would fail USA visa checks as it's pretty obvious I find Trump's policies abhorrent

Hat or cat? You decide.

What do you think?

ASDA has to be up there for weird Christmas tree decorations - ours are a tad more traditional

There is sometimes very odd about the fact that early afternoon today, this was the weather in our part of Falkirk. It's November for God's sake not April

Since it's Halloween, this is me as IT from The Addams Family

We have stuff bordering footpaths near us that smells like wild garlic but isn't an allium - flowers are wrong. Just wish I knew what it is

Having one of THOSE days

Home and detangled my now purple hair. In the flesh it's much more purple

It's one of those sort of days

Since it's Wimbledon Men's finals day it seems apt to meringue, strawberries and cream. Not quite Jill, Fallon or Jenny's standard, I suspect, but have been known to knock up a decent meringue #thearchers

What a beautiful black cat. Our Freya is another ex stray

Wonder if that's a tuxedo tract - inot tolerating other cats. Although Islay, a tiny black female cat we had before used to beat up next door's big male white cat. T'was a bit awkward as they blamed another big male. We kept schtum. Islay was very affectionate to humans

She has discovered she likes laps since our other cat - a big male - had to be put down. Not related but clearly loved each other. She was devastated when Merlin didn't return from the vet but seemed to decide humans were ok. She doesn't tolerate other cats so it's a bad idea adopting another

Since we moved from a flat to a house we've had cats. Currently just the one - Freya - an ex stray who is 13 . We love her dearly although her caterwauls to let us know she's home when we've gone to bed are less great. She is deaf

This book manages to be quite philosophical and delightful. So glad we have a wonderful library

Sewed a star cascade onto an xmas skirt last year. The pictures don't do it full justice. Discovered how horrible metallic embroidery thread is to work with

I know we are all more than a little worried at the mo which is why we need to work on finding positive stuff to stay. Bluesky is a friendly place. So here are two embroidered images from yesterday. Love the lion's mane

Let's find some nice pics and/or stories to share. These are some of the close-ups of the embroidered panels I saw yesterday #happystuff

Here's a few pics from the Great Tapestry of Scotland. Across 160 embroidered panels it tells Scotland's history from formation of the rocks this wee nation is made of to the Scottish Parliament reconvening in 1999. It's incredible

This is us the day before our silver wedding anniversary. You had to paddle around on the actual day but that's Venice
