Tuesday 11-11-25, Veterans Day, was marked by a beautiful dawn that was bookended by a rare aurora here in northern New Mexico. It also was time to reflect on the career military father I barely got to know who was a combat veteran of both WWII and Korea and who definitely had PTSD.

We saw the 11-11-2025 as far south as New Mexico. Here's a pic taken in a dark sky area of the aurora framing 11,000 ft elevation San Antonio Mountain 20 miles south of the Colorado state line.

Anyone who has even the slightest clue about the role Elmendorf AFB played during the Cuban Missle Crisis would realize just how far out of line it was to invite a former KGB Russian leader to that facility. It is a betrayal of every American who served in the military in those very dangerous days.

As if I needed another reason to avoid Apple products. The open bribery is sickening and the way so many people and institutions are bowing to this ignorant, immoral, and evil man is far beyond any reasonable comprehension.
The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.
