Something I've been curious about: Are there any #DrawSteel communities outside of the main #MCDM discord/subreddit/etc.? The only one I'm aware of is the homebrewery discord, and that's still closely tied. I'm guessing there might be some on some RPG forums, but I'm not familar with those spaces.

In tactical RPGs we often see the "how do I optimize MY hero" discussion, which certainly happens with Draw Steel, but I have also seen a lot of people say stuff like, "If you really wanna optimize in DS, you should focus on the party not the individual." That was by design, and I'm glad it works.

Carnophages are probably one of my favorite homebrew monsters I’ve tested with. Piles of gore across the battlefield that serve as force multipliers for the monsters, and controlling/killing those piles presents a fun and unique tactical challenge.
I highly recommend checking it out.

Quick #DrawSteel house rule to try out for folks playing at higher echelons. Replace potency values as follows (for both heroes and monsters):
Weak potency = 0
Average potency = half highest characteristic
Strong potency = highest characteristic
Makes the game much more fun and dynamic IMO.
