Fun times

At that point I was fully commited to software. Got my first job at a bank after lying through my teeth and been doing all sorts of dev since.

Got way into fansubs, started doing my own with Aegisub. At some point wanted to help with translations and the Mac port. Hanging in their IRC, @amzeratul.bsky.social introduced me to wxWidgets and LUA (Thank you!)

Started formally studying the stuff after high school, after I couldn't join the course I wanted. So I had to settle with programming (it was my plan B at the time)

At 15 I discovered IRC, and started learing mIRC scripting. Mostly to mess with people, this also taught me a lot aboit TCP/IP, sockets, HTTP, UDP and all that stuff.

Next few years were mostly learning HTML/CSS/JS for Livejournal and PHP to create custom stuff for a few PHPnuke and PHPbb sites

Learned dos/batch by necessity at around 7, making small adjustments to scripts in order to make the games run (configuring DMAs, IRQs and the sort)

Learned Hex editing a couple of years later, to cheat on the games I was playing

At 12 a friend and I started doing text adventure games with qBasic
