I’m switching car insurers, so I logged in to cancel auto-renewal. First they offered £50 to stay, then £100 after rejecting the official offer—all through their web portal.
Decent offer, but it feels shady dealing with companies that only give fair prices when you’re halfway out the door.

Apple has been forced by the U.K. to disable iCloud end-to-end encryption, leaving journalists, whistleblowers, and the U.K. public vulnerable to breaches and endangering democracy. Apple would not comply with the U.K’s orders to wiretap the global population.
