I grew up in New England so I grew up used to being openly stared at and being racially harassed by randos. It is such a relief that it happens much more rarely here in the Bay Area.

Also as a climate/enviro reporter I have never forgotten about his "third world memo" arguing that it behooves us to dump toxic waste in low-income countries. He argued it was to "stimulate debate" but "devil's advocates are often devils"

Yeah. IDK either but I recall not seeing any statements like this one in the early coverage at least.
