Excellent point!
Excellent point re Donald Trump.
Notice how he sues everyone who has ever said anything bad about him EXCEPT the survivors who are saying he raped them as children? Odd

It has been only 15 years and they have never come up with a plan to replace the ACA. The Emperor has no clothes.
Roger Marshall on Republicans replacing the ACA: "It's gonna take us a while to figure out the right way to do it"

Glad to hear this!!
We are winning! #LFG
A huge night for Democrats:

—They flip Miami's mayorship.
—They flip a state House district in Georgia that had voted Trump by 13%.
—They keep Albuquerque's mayorship, while the liberal faction flips city council.
—And they get big overperformances (+18 & +22) in 2 Florida specials.

This is why I’m cautiously optimistic — in the long run.

I don't know how any decent person could vote for Tom Cotton. I truly don't.
Follow up: it doesn’t say it’s illegal to fire on incapacitated shipwrecked. It just says it’s illegal to fire on the shipwrecked. Where’d you get “incapacitated” and why are you such an asshole?
Q: "The Pentagon's Law of War manual…says 'Orders to fire upon the shipwrecked would be clearly illegal.' Given that, how was that follow up strike on the two survivors legal?"

Tom Cotton: "They were not incapacitated… They were sitting or standing on top of a capsized boat."

Yes!
Can't bring myself to share the story of how this awful regime has misgendered Admiral Rachel Levine. I credit her for saving many of our lives in Pennsylvania and around the country in 2020. She was our Chief Health Officer and I welcomed her briefings during the lockdowns.

Transphobia is vile.

Tom Cotton seems like a leftover from the Confederacy!
Sen. Tom Cotton says survivors of first September boat strike 'were not incapacitated'

Cotton, who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, also argued that the president doesn't need to seek congressional approval if he continues the strikes.

Agree. He is horrible!

Tom Cotton is horrible. I don't know how he sleeps at night.
Tom Cotton predictably refutes what the video shows regarding Hegseth’s decision to drop a second bomb on the alleged drug boat. Cotton is just another willing cog in this fascist regime. For the most part he’s a trump ass kisser, but once in a while trump forgets to remove his shit-stained diaper.

Loud and clear that this is what the Supreme Court is now doing!
Founding fathers can’t be blamed for not writing a constitution strong enough to curb the actions of a malignant narsisistic psychopath felon backed by a whole cabinet of incompetent sycophants propped up by a bought & payed for Supreme Court
But the Republicans can for not rebelling now #Epstein

❤️ ♥️ ❤️!
When I taught Civics, I used Supreme Court cases to trace our expansion of rights to demonstrate democratic values.

If I were still teaching Civics today, I would need to place the concepts of 'precedent,' 'stare decisis,' and 'rule of law' in the trash bin.

This SCOTUS is corrupt.
December 7, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Something like that. Aspiring to be POTUS was something people used to look up to. Now, it's at best, a farce.
Who else thinks that "You could grow up to be president one day" just doesn't have the same ring as it used to have? It won't surprise me that in the coming years, parents will say that to their kids as a threat, not something to get them to aspire to greatness like it used to.

Are you happy with Trump? No, why would anyone want the last place president after experiencing 14th? We could have had Kamala with a great economy, better respect in the world, no collusion with Putin, support of Ukraine and allies, no war crimes, no threats of war with Venezuela & more.

It has happened!
“On some great and glorious day,” Mencken wrote in 1917 “the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

Dudes, we’re there. Donald Trump isn’t merely ignorant, he exists in fear and loathing of anybody who’s not.
Gene Lyons, the great Arkansas columnist, calls it quits. Why? Donald Trump.

"I just don’t want to spend the rest of my life thinking and writing about him."

A Harvard law grad who served as a military officer, reveling in murder on the high seas in violation of human decency, international law and the military's own rules.

It's interesting how Cotton et al are all-in on the "these were legal murders" take when it seems pretty clear the videos will become public at some point, like they know unconditional support has upside while murder/war crime apologia probably has very little consequence

I presume Mr Cotton thinks that they should have… walked home, through the sea?
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."
