I got IKEA bunk beds into a Fiesta once, these people are clearly just not thinking creatively. 😁

I walked with a chap years ago who knew I was learning more hill and safety skills. Every time we had a break he made me take the OS map out and relate it to the ground. Incredibly useful skill.

Also, helping my friend out with training in nav made me realise: I learned so much years ago from walking with other experienced navigators/hill people. There's fewer of them around now, most people use phones. And there's less sharing of vital tips.

Almost as important as remembering to poke them with your walking pole before stepping in them! 😁

Lovely article. And best of luck. We asked Mum's surgeon how often she did the terrifying sounding op proposed. "Oh, I do one most weeks". Thank God for the NHS.

My mother never flew again after CDG. We couldn't work out how to get out of the airport. 😂 I swear at one point I was considering just giving in and going home.

I love this series, for me they all perfectly capture heading home after a wintery hike. 💙
