Life time of living in BC has given me an appreciation for the absurd in politics and real life. Play bridge quite badly. Used to write. Love train travel. Happily married 40 years to man who does not play bridge and hates trains. I don't donate.
This is what it is.

There have been a lot of shipwrecks on the coast.

Obviously, the only possible place for a new terminal is right here at pencil line.
No shipwrecks, and tankers could scoot across into open ocean easy peasy.

(I have no idea where this is and whether it would work as a port.)

The tankers don't need to be in the inside passage. It's pretty basic.

From Marine Traffic site. Red arrows are tankers.

Map of all tankers currently in vicinity of BC.
They can stay out of the inside passage.
I doubt private money will want to finance a pipeline anyway, but may be wrong. Often am.
In the meantime, there's a lot of hair pulling out for a maybe.

Tankers can continue to be banned from the inside passage. Seems an obvious idea.
Map from Marine Traffic website. Red triangles are tankers currently not in the inside passage.

Marine tracker map. The red triangles are tankers. There's no reason oil tankers can't go outside inside passage. Keep the ban.

AI is the lemonade. Removing AI is the antidote.

This is a map of area around Bella Bella, where barge was taking on water (I couldn't see exactly where it was in any news report) Imagine an oil tanker.

It's a big do-nothing machine. It takes energy and doesn't produce anything of value.

People have been bringing up the Grapes of Wrath. The most memorable scenes for me is when none of the kids will play with the brat.

I don't think they'd get any of the stuff they're asking for if the CPC won a majority.

I think this is from about 1917. I found it in my grandmother's cookbook. On the reverse side are some recipes. Thought you might find it interesting.

Gary Larson cartoon of a cow with some tools on a bench. It upset a lot of people because they didn't understand it. I think they tried to read more into it than a cow with tools.

Jack's friends have been taken into a nightmare and replaced by others who he doesn't know, but who think know him. He and his trusty Winnie the Pooh nightlight have to go into the nightmare to get the originals back.
