Pirate, Wizard, Dog man from Scotland.

I love video games, rugby, reading and CrossFit... Some combo eh.

Listen to my games podcast. A Winner Is You. On all good and mediocre platforms.
Forza Horizon looks fun and I might actually just about be in the mood for one of these games, but I'm getting a bit bored of the whole Festival thing.

Think they need to get a new idea there. And I'm struggling to care about ehhh base building? At least it's a new feature I suppose.

Is there a gamers version of writers block... ehhh players block?! I just can't settle on anything at all and it's been about a month now.

Another belter of a post. Well worth your time.

As a Brit, I can't help but see this is a stark, bleak, and honest excoriation of the rock and hard place Britain has placed itself... Seemingly while our leaders continue to ignore the truth of what's happening across the water. The Mad King indeed.
This is excellent.

"The President is a writhing mass of impulses and political urges.... On Greenland, sage commentators talk of Arctic security, of critical minerals. It is all nonsense. Trump wants it because Trump wants it, and he sees no good reason why he should not have it."

And...

If the company that shipped Skull & Bones is telling you that they canceled a game for quality reasons, it's easy to assume that that game must've been pretty fucking bad.

I've no idea what the general consensus is about Stranger Things... Now keep in mind my current status is 18 minutes from the end of season 4, so I've got an entire season to go, but I've got bloody whiplash from this show. It swings wildly from being absolutely amazing TV to utter basement trash.

A lot of these political editors see Starmer/Trump and Mamdani/Trump as unexpected bromances, rather than what the rest of us see, which is someone trying to gamely manage a lunatic.

I need to find a way to tune back into film and TV a bit more. I had absolutely no clue there was a Silent Hill movie coming out this month.

Visitors should wipe feet at the door. We don't need the Coghole getting more dirty than it already is.

You also enter at your own risk. We won't be held responsible for any instances of Locust abduction. Please don't touch the walls, there may some lingering Kryll stains from a previous visitor.
We had a lovely 'ol chat about RAAM's Shadow today. Our first big episode of 2026 is now being edited and will be out this week. Big year of Gears! #GearsofWar

Anyone fancies a good bedtime read, this is a great article over on @pcgamer.com. This feels like an honest take by someone who just looks at their time with Bethesda with rationality, even if they are sad about how it ended up. www.pcgamer.com/games/the-el...

These books are beautiful. I wish they'd also sell me some of the art for my wall. Just spent the last 20 minutes looking at the Wolfenstein pages. Lovely.

For all you lot sitting on the edge of your seats. I'm about halfway through season 4 of Stranger Things. It's a significant improvement on season 3, but is still absolutely mental. The whole Joyce/Alaska arc an absolute box of frogs. But hey, it's a good season so far.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through season 3 of Stranger Things. I'm enjoying it... but ehhh it's gone a bit, shall we say silly? It's like they've turned Steve and Dustin into the comedy acts and syphoned them off into their own side show. And the budget Terminator that's chasing Hopper is a bit much.

Stranger Things season 2 finished. Enjoyed it, but there's at least one absolute wiff of an episode in there. Onto season 3.

I know I'm fulfilling my British stereotype by moaning about the weather, but a "feels like" high temperature of -7C and low of -9C is not what I wanted this morning. Gonna do some snow clearing, then looks like a day of gaming (I think I might start The Séance of Blake Manor) and Stranger Things.
