A box of Round Up candy sticks that look like a little box of cigarettes but actually taste much worse both in flavor and texture. Another UX turd: When tapping what should be the DOWNLOAD IMAGE button, it doesn’t do anything. You have to tap the DOUBLE BUTTON — both icons at once — to bring up a new dialog that includes sharing options, and buries download. People were paid for this. Incredible.
A two panel comic strip opened in Apple messages. The “download” icon is circled, but is now part of one button that holds two icons. Now you have to tap both icons in the one button, adding steps to downloading an image. Genius.

There was a time when the kindle app opened even if you didn’t have an internet connection. I reckon those days are long gone. Good thing I’m just at rehearsal, not on a fuckin plane, eh?

The kindle app on iPad stuck on the splash screen because Jeff Bezos wasn’t hugged enough as a child and decided that kindle apps can’t open without a network connection, despite millions of users opting for kindle because you don’t need an always-on internet connection. Enshittification at work.

Look at this turd soup of a UX from eBay. Giant white space. You can’t access the save button unless you somehow intuit you have to tap on the time or calendar again to make it disappear. Totally unnecessary, that. But eBay doesn’t HAVE to care. And clearly they don’t. BUT it also CHANGED THE TIME!

I really “love” how text detection is now broken on my iPhone because when I try to detect text in an image and it has a date, iOS 26 will ONLY FIXATE ON THE DATE, so I can no longer just “copy all text” and paste in alt for the image. Great job by everyone here, dinguses. Stop doing this!
An example of how iOS 26 has completely fucked text selection: a message request on Facebook messenger is the image, it is full of text BUT the “text detection” button is active, meaning iOS 26 has found text. But it only allows the user to create a calendar event because it will only surface the time stamp found at the end of the message. While a user can select the text manually, the old function was to allow the user to select all text immediately, not get in the way by trying to think for the user— a classic Apple strategy indicating “we know better than users” that, in my 25 years of experience with the company, almost always backfires.
