These ones are a mix of repurposed official art for Kaboom, new art for Klaptrap and a modified bit of art from the Japan only DK Card game for Krusha.

Got crafty this year, for my daughter's 2nd Christmas I made her a full on custom, hand made DonkeyKong golden book since she got so into DK watching me play Bananza. Gonna be hard waiting a whole month to give it to her!
Mostly followed the Mario golden book's story but added a couple extra bits.

After doing those Toriyama studies I felt like drawing that cave barbarian again. Def feels like a big improvement over the first drawing of her I did. Don't have a name for her yet will figure that out later lol.

Tried my hand at replicating one of the full sized character art. Even when dirrectly from the reference her helmet is a pain in the butt to draw lol.
But I feel like I'm getting the hang of this! Maybe I'il try drawing an original pose next and see how close in style I can make it look.

Having a lot of fun with these trying to replicate Toriyama art traditionally. This is the sort of stuff kid me would have loved to learn to do.

Another Toriyama study, tried to replicate a piece of official art from ChronoTrigger. I feel like I got the coloring ok, but wish I'd have spent more time on the sketch to get the proportions closser to the reference piece.

@carllecat.bsky.social 's Zeit Zeiger has entered my brain and gave me this brain worm of an idea. The title appeared out of nowhere in my mind while trying to sleep like 2 weeks ago and only by drawing it could I get it out of my head.

Took our daughter to the french book fair in town, she picked the one about a little bunny who only wants to say "Poo Poo Blood Saucage". Excelent choice!

Cleaning up and finally organized the scattershot of boards and script and char designs for some of my old animations. Some materials I had for forgoten/abandoned/un-finished stuff was in there too. Still have a bunch missing, not organizing any art related stuff for 20 years will do that. 😬
