Controversial choice for day two. Doesn’t get much love, and the intro is an early equivalent to “Somehow, Palpatine returned…”. On the plus side, lots of angry villagers, the Second Doctor and Minder! #halloween #halloweencountdown #hammerhorror

First game of Pillage. Lessons? Terrain makes the game. This isn’t so much as a combat game as how your warband interacts with its surroundings. Even trying to clamber over crates can be dangerous, as Odo the Breton found out. Protect Berserkers, otherwise they become expensive door stops. Great fun

This is an excellent book. Well researched and written in an engaging conversational style which belies the darkest parts of Scots history. It ends with a warning- that history could easily repeat due to the double curse of othering and male violence to women #witchesofscotland
