This is no way to run an economy or treat an ally or work with businesses in either the US or South Korea as no one can plan ahead, trade properly, invest or be certain of trading conditions. Everyone loses including the consumer who is the ultimate bearer of tariffs.

Having lived in the US. Owned a home there for over a decade and visited most major cities across the country I’m sad to say I no longer think it is a safe place to visit unless you absolutely have to and can take special precautions to keep yourself safe. @conservatives.bsky.social

The US continues its isolation from the world’s institutions. Norman no friends is not a nice place to find yourself. To choose that path is self destructive.

I have said it was an act of self sabotage to give up the sovereignty of the islands. So President Trump is not wrong on this point. He is wrong on trying to takeover the sovereignty of Greenland.
Where does this leave the Govt? Give up the islands only to have them taken over by the Americans.

The best outcome in the Greenland, Canada territory disputes and trade tariff impositions is for the US to back off and realise their self interest is collective security with their partners as is effective free trade with those same partners where all parties win.
