I think they said the bank at Dunham Massey was the responsibility of Peel Holdings to maintain, but with increasing wet weather, there must be a lot of banks and so on that are being weakened and waterlogged.

@IcooIey Fortunately no one was hurt, I just hope none of the boats have been damaged too badly. Narrowboats are pretty tough, but not designed to end up hooked up on each other.

I think it's even worse - looks like the actual bed of the canal has gone, rather than just the water draining out.
It's always odd, seeing a canal with no water in it.

#goodmorning everyone. Well, hopefully, today will be more relaxing than yesterday - my Mum went to A&E. She is completely fine now, but, she had cut her head, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Of course, we're two hours away. Luckily, her neighbour was able to help, and A&E was not too busy […]
