Great result with a rotated squad and hopefully some freshness for those key players who were missing last night. Some post-Brugge thoughts - www.suburbangooners.com/2025/12/11/n...
Noni does the business in Brugge
Well that went just about as perfect as I'd imagine Mikel Arteta could have hoped for last night. Get the win to get back on the winning wagon - tick. Rotate the team to rest up some of those importan...

Really lovely - and valuable - that Gabby J has got a solid 30 mins under his belt too
December 10, 2025 at 9:38 PM
This game has looked a lot more
Comfortable on the scoresheet than in reality. Brugge - to be fair to them - have created quite a few good chances in the box.

HIS NAME IS FUCKING GABI!!

What a goal!

Open Play FC again ole ole!
December 10, 2025 at 9:17 PM
Noni on his barnet!

Thing I love about those types of goals - absolutely ZERO VAR interference
December 10, 2025 at 8:28 PM
What a finish Noni!

Easily goal of the round. Probably goal of the group stages.

Arteta’s two directions for tonight’s game at Brugge
Feels like there's a couple of ways that Mikel Arteta can look at tonight's game: Get the points and automatic qualification lined up so we can properly rest players for the final two matches Rot...

Tomorrow night's game gives an opportunity for some rotation and rest for key players, against a Club Brugge team who are a little up and down. Some thoughts - www.suburbangooners.com/2025/12/09/d...
December’s remaining fixture schedule gives Arteta an opportunity for refresh
Before we talk The Arsenal and look ahead to the game tomorrow night in Belgium, let's spend a minute or two talking about the Mo Salah situation, eh? Because as Arsenal fans, we've seen this stuff pl...

I guess if you remove Arsenal's spine for long enough, winning matches becaomes harder

Superb goal! Been so much better that second half. Awesome stuff. Keep it up Arsenal!

Created more than enough for a goal but were dreadful with the final action and pretty mediocre otherwise.

1-1 would be a fair scoreline.

Our finishing feels very familiar.

So frustrating, played at walking pace at times, Villa getting space in between the lines and we’re not answering it. Merino and Eze basically anonymous.

Created a bunch of half chances.

Lot to do in that second half.

Well done Raya, but McGinn taking out Calafiori, anyone?
December 6, 2025 at 12:42 PM
First five minutes played at walking pace by both teams so far

Always hate TNT Sporgs kick off in the Premier League.

Always feel like we drop points.

Hope I’m wrong today.

Villa away: A curious opponent for The Arsenal today

Merino kicks Arsenal off again as Arsenal do the business against Brentford
That was one of those ‘on paper’ routine nights, wasn’t it? Arsenal had a job to do. They needed to avoid a banana skin. They needed to de-risk the whole evening. They needed to make this a perfunc...

It’s funny the difference ‘in stadium’ versus the reality.

Check out that xG for the second half.

I spent half the time chewing my nails but, in reality, the team were in complete control.

Routine? Perfunctory?

No.

But the ‘job’ has been well and truly ‘done’.

We move on.
