Bears schedule ramps up significantly over the last 6 games including 2 with the Packers. You have to hope that one of those teams sweep the other to open up a spot for the Lions. The Lions don’t need to run the table but the margin of error is very slim.

America’s celebration of bad lip syncing never fails to disappoint.

Yeah, issue 2 was the hot book in the mid 80’s but they can be found pretty cheaply now. In fact most of the early issues are finding their way back into circulation and are relatively cheap.

I only had the digest as a kid. Bought the newsstand back in 2021. So it only made sense to get a treasury edition just to have all three sizes that Marvel published GI Joe is #1 in.

I never planned to finish the run but then I hit a shop on the west side of Michigan where I was able to pick up a fair amount of the lower 100 issues for $2 each. So after that it was game on.

I always wait for my LCS to run sales in back issues. Managed to get 155 for just a bit over $100 and just recently after helping them move locations they did a volunteer appreciation dinner and sale where they offered 50% off so I was able to get 154 for $75.

Every discount helps.

Not the first comic I ever bought but the first series that I bought monthly without fail. Started at issue 27.

Truth. It was my gateway into comics.

Honestly this run by Hama should get more respect. He took a job nobody wanted and turned it into a franchise that has spanned multiple decades, publishers, and spawned several movies. Yo Joe!

At a passing glance I thought it was a Charleston comic.

The corner box logo.

Title font.

Cover art, especially the coloring.

All big plusses in my opinion.

The SFX for the fast running in the chase scene with Cap, Bucky, and the BP is sooooooooo bad. Age of Ultron opening fight scene bad.

I did really enjoy Zemo. It was a shame watching subsequent iterations of him become nothing more than a caricature of a very enjoyable and competent villain.

Got to make sure that heart surgery works I guess.

Sansa Clip+ was such a great piece of tech. Small, full color screen, removable SD card and a built in FM tuner.

Now I want to find mine.

I enjoyed both of those quite a lot.
