The Sane Society - Quod ubique, quod semper, quod ab omnibus creditum est
One of best speeches. Accurately & clearly articulates the geopolitical shift. Better described as a "rupture".
“But more recently, Great Powers have begun using economic integration as weapons…You cannot live within the lie of mutual benefit through integration when integration becomes the source of your subordination.”

— Canadian PM Mark Carney calls for end to compliance with American hegemony at Davos

Let them eat cake. For 3 dollars.
Where?
Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

Don't forget the Machado Peace Prize.
The Maduro regimes continues to run Venezuela without Maduro. How did US removal of Maduro to steal their oil help the people of Venezuela? If this was about helping the Venezuelan people, Trump would not be backing the current regime. But it’s about stealing oil, nothing else.

Foreign policy studies - the 'My Way' doctrine: Fabricate a reason to attack a country, steal its President, hijack its oil & install a leader who will give you the Nobel Peace Prize.
We used to have a Constitution, Congress, and the law. Now the limits of Trump’s power are self-determined. This is why we called our rallies ‘No Kings’.

Could this Venezuela operation be about Trump getting the Nobel prize? A two for one deal. Not just the petro-dollars but installing someone who will give him the prize. A conspiracy theory dressed up as an egomaniac pursuing a vanity project. Foreign policy & IR studies have just entered a new era.
Insanity: Sources close to the White House told the Washington Post Trump lost interest in backing Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado to lead the country because she accepted her Nobel Peace Prize rather than demanding it be given to Trump, which was viewed as an “ultimate sin.”

Create multiple crises or focal events. Control the narrative - accuse, obscure, deny, exaggerate & trivialise about the topic. Move on to another topic. Watch media repeat cycle.
Trump on Venezuela: "That was a perfect attack. We've taken over a whole country. We've taken $4 billion of oil in one day. That will increase."

Seems that safe guarding sovereignty is an opt in or opt out. Depending on who, where, when & how much.
China’s FM spokesperson Mao Ning called for “respecting the sovereignty of all countries” in response to events in Venezuela, but when asked if that applies to Ukraine, she avoided a direct answer. She reiterated Beijing’s clear position on what China continues to refer to as the “crisis in Ukraine”

If you tell someone that they can be captured or eliminated wherever they are. No matter what they do. It tends to elicit concessions & compliance. The threats have been proven. It can be done.
It's as if America toppled Saddam Hussein in 2003 and then put Qusay in charge. "There is no sign that the United States’ demands include less repression. Instead the regime is taking the opportunity to crack down." www.economist.com/the-americas...

The difference between the previous wars for oil & the current operation in Venezuela: This administration is not hiding behind false claims. They made drugs WMDs. Added narco-trafficking to the terrorist list & announced that it's all about the oil. There's your pretext. Right out in the open.
Reporter: Did you speak with the oil companies before the operation? Did you tip them off?

Trump: Before and after. They want to go in and they’re going to do a great job.

Mafia foreign policy. Fabricate false pretence, exaggerate threats, intimidate, violently extort & issue further threats to coerce & extract concessions.

When do we find out that this operation was the implementation of a vertical market integration scheme to support the oil & cocaine supply to US regime elites?
And there it is:
FOX & FRIENDS: What do you see as the future of Venezuela's oil industry?

TRUMP: Well I see that we're gonna be very strongly involved in it. That's all. What can I say. We have the greatest oil companies in the world.

Dronessss..on & on. The ballroom will also serve as a mausoleum.
Trump on the ballroom: "It's bigger than I told you. It's, you know -- after realizing we're gonna do the inauguration in that building, it's got all bulletproof glass, it's got all drone, they call it drone-free roof. It's dronessss -- won't touch it. It's a big beautiful safe building."

Going round in circles is exactly what he wants the media to do. It distracts the 'chattering class' from talking about the Epstein files.
"Even Putin doesn't name classes of ships after himself. Kim Jong-un doesn't name — I mean this is crazy," Tom Nichols tells Tim Miller. "We're gonna run around in circles because this unhinged old man, you know, wants to have a ship with his name on it."

Priceless. Whiskey Pete looks up like he's briefly trying to calculate what a 1000% is.

The charade of petty disagreements with Putin was just a cover story. Public humiliation of Zelensky was a gift. The petro-state has something to sell, Trump wants a peace prize and the kompromat to stay in the vault. European security is the dispensable trade off.
