Basic salary for a qualified doctor is £70k, well over twice the national average. That is very much a decent standard of living.

The rich should be taxed more (they already pay in a lot per head) but it simply won’t raise enough to solve very much. It’s just showboating to pretend it’s all that’s needed.

The internet is full of nice law abiding middle class people doing this. It’s very Googleable. Stripping Amazon DRM is simple with a free ebook manager called Calibre. Not sure whether you could do it with books from bookshop.org etc
