The internet is full of nice law abiding middle class people doing this. It’s very Googleable. Stripping Amazon DRM is simple with a free ebook manager called Calibre. Not sure whether you could do it with books from bookshop.org etc

It’s possible to read non Amazon books on Kindles, as long as you can remove any DRM. You can email epubs to it. The problem will be removing DRM from books you’ve bought. (Legalities differ by territory but personally I think the morality of removing DRM from books you’ve purchased is fine).

Because that attitude has worked so well thus far. The orange man baby has been stopped from doing anything illegal by the constitutional guard rails working exactly as planned. I see no problem blandly saying 'BUT THAT'S ILLEGAL' as a solution.
