Enjoying playing Master of Command, even if it is fiendishly difficult.

I loved Foo Fighters when I was a teenager, but when I listen to them now I'm just a bit weirded out that all of Dave Grohl's early lyrics are just being mean about Courtney Love. "Nicest man in rock", apparently. #totp

Progress on my fineliner drawing/watercolours of buildings at Butser Ancient Farm. My third attempt at the Mesolithic shelter (still not happy with it), the other two Stone Age buildings, Bronze Age roundhouse, and two Iron Age Roundhouses.
Each picture is 120mm x 90mm.

I bought this book about 6 years ago for £3 in The Works. I have only just got round to reading it, but it is an excellent retelling of a period I thought I knew so much more about.

I made this Late Roman officer out of the old Salute St George that someone gave me. He was wearing far too much mail for the period, so I gave him new plastic legs and hands after carving off the original shield. I gave him a sword instead of an axe after I took the picture.

Storage for two 600 point armies (coke can for scale). If it was 28mm metal, you'd get a hernia trying to carry it.
October 4, 2025 at 12:18 PM
Back in the last naughties I had loads of 10mm early medieval stuff, which I rebased at the start of lockdown in 2020. Now it looks like I can do Hastings using Midgard with both sides around 600 points.
