Increasingly grumpy with politicians. Poor creator of biographies. Friendly-ish. Not in order of priority. 🇬🇧
Unless FIFA pulls the World Cup from the US, countries should pull their teams from the tournament.

If countries refuse to pull out then players should pull out.

If the tournament goes ahead as planned then broadcasters should boycott it.

There isn’t a dungeon deep enough, dark enough or dank enough for those responsible for this.
He was a Good Samaritan — and they murdered him for it. Now they’re trying to rewrite his history. They want to smear him. To dehumanize him.

Don’t let them. 2/2

Bizarrely, the interestingly named TomTom Tom device only works with the free app, and not the TomTom Go “expert” app. So I thought I’d check out the free app. I regularly drive from The Cotswolds to Cornwall, about 150 miles. They’ve lost their damned mind. #TomTom

Brought my old Technics CD player out from its retirement in the attic. Cleaned the lens and had to manually spin the motor to get it going but all good now and it sounds superb.

Had a conversation with an ex-colleague about a manager…

Ex colleague: “They’re a goat”

Me: “The goat?”

Them: “No, a goat. As in a goat in a tree. You wonder, How the fuck did they get into that position and more importantly, how are they still there?!”

I think this is exactly right. Worse, politicians are in thrall to technocrats
I think Labour’s problem is that, as power has shifted to technocrats over recent decades, its ambitions have shrunk to chasing populist policies shaped by an algorithmically skewed version of public opinion, one amplified by rage-bait rather than grounded in reality.

It's funny what we can and can't do when money is involved. The markets trump all, even life and death. And politicians wonder why they don't have moral legitimacy anymore.
