It's quite the peak. It stands at over 10k feet and there's no easy way up! I made it about half-way 15 years ago and realized I was out of my league!

Paradise Valley is just amazing about 364 days a year. I lived there for a few years but couldn't afford to buy a place there, unfortunately.

Thankfully, it's an easy drive (relatively) for me.

Some did survive, amazingly. I've spoken to one guy that was friends with someone that was re-integrated into society fairly successfully, but that wasn't the norm.
