Wouldn't it be easier to just trap JK with a box, held up by a stick with a piece of string, and you put, dunno, a picture of a trans person existing in the box? Surely, that'd be easier than walling off the entire UK.

I think all the cars I've ever owned/drove had the usual 30,000 km or 2-year cycle (as they were all TDI with Longlife oil), but since I drive a lot, I always hit the mileage threshold before the time one. Vice versa for bf's car.

After doing some searching, the fact that my car dips just below minimum (for the sensor, not the dipstick) just ahead of an oil change falls in the range of normal oil consumption (estimated 0.3-0.7 liters per 15000km).

It's not being underfilled if that's what you mean (and I get the remainder of the unused canister handed back to me). I'd have to look into whether this is a normal amount of oil consumption or not. But even if not, not much I can really do about it.

It was just 200km from its "oil change is due" mileage when the warning came on (it usually wants oil shortly before an oil change, though not always).

If only I knew! My previous cars never needed extra oil, but I do drive this one a lot more than its predecessors.
