Check this shit out! An automatic warning sign for our high-field cryostat that lights up as soon as the magnet produces a meaningful stray field! And it runs off a UPS, so even if the fire brigade were to slap the red mushroom, it would still remain lit if the superconducting solenoid is energized!

Went to Csepel today, in the hope of perhaps seeing some of the last MIX/A trains in service. No such luck, but at least I was able to see 841 through the fence... Built in 1965 and not yet stricken from the roster, as far as I'm aware, but clearly not far from retirement. :(

Another important factor for not losing my sanity while here: The venerable I-Trigue 3330 from over 20 years ago. Only bought one (used) because I had always wanted one of these. There seems to be a theme with "I just wanted" and "used" and also "cheap" around here.

Remember how the venerable 2007 plasma TV that I once got for super cheap just stopped working?
I did the sensible thing and just got a cheap, used 2009 model. This one is the same 50 inches but can actually do 1080p and only consumes 350W! Such progress.
I still prefer these to crap smart TVs.

After I had my washer nozzles adjusted when the car was at the shop anyway, two of them ended up getting blocked, presumably due to them using dirty water (I saw residue in the filler strainer).
Guess I'll just stick to un-fucking everything myself. With canned air and pointy objects.

Our administration forbids us from buying stuff on Amazon.
So I can either order new headsets to replace working headsets or get some replacement foam on Amazon at my own expense.

Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, after I realized the stupid reason for all of this: One BIOS setting that changed due to the power cycling. Just that one. Not the clock, CMOS battery is fine, nothing else changed, just the m.2 slot config. I don't know why, but I'm happy.
