Friends: good!
Vodka: erm, can I get something that has a flavor?
Marriage: seems highly unlikely

Yeah, they're Libertarians taken to the ultimate apex of that belief system, which boils down to "I am the center of the universe & everyone should cater to me, how dare you hold me responsible for my own actions?"
Most of us grew out of that by age 3.

Indeed. My boss is colorblind, so I got on one of the palette sites & started using a couple custom color ramps instead.
He was pleasantly surprised when he realized he could just read the graphs/figures. And we publish with those, they look fine!

So. Many. Steps.
And we all prefer the ramps anyway!

Aww, one of my favorite restaurants did square pies. The owner called it the "πr²"

Never did understand why all the campus buildings have flat roofs, either--seems like 17" of snow might be an issue for structural integrity!

You have mastered One Science!
No, we do not need you to master another one, you can figure that one out on the fly.

I still think they should be "journeyman" degrees instead of "bachelor" though.

Fucking Bundy standoff in 2015 was in Oregon, but those asshats are from Idaho. And tried to hold a CoVID sit-in at the Capitol. Somehow have never gotten more than a slap on the wrist...

When I was prepping upper-division students for capstone research, I used to make them read Martin Schwartz's "The Importance of Stupidity in Scientific Research."

We don't do research in my lecture class, but maybe I should break that classic out again.

Right, I realize it's called a Doctorate of Philosophy, but that doesn't mean "sit around with your thumb up your backside" is what you're actually supposed to do!
Besides, I stopped at a Master of *Science* & science is what I do!

Ah, your sister is also a squirrel paparazzi now!

Right! We've learned more about humans since then!

Though there's a funny suggestion in one of them that if you're being tempted to a great sin & just can't stop thinking about it you could, in desperation, try committing a lesser sin.
"All sin is equally bad"? Not by those lights!

Do they not understand observational science requires the ability to observe reality?
(Of course they don't...)

I'm afraid only Luther's. The small catechism is pretty good but simple; the large...has some issues. It's also, y'know, over 500 years old & not entirely Calvin-compatible.
