This particular lake is stocked for locals and mainly fished with bait, I've been on it before with some friends before. Its not a natural lake by any means

Biggest issue w my current pack I've talked about before is that it fits poorly and hurts my back and even fitted as snuggly as possible it bounces around if I jump or climb or things like that

That's so real even here in the foothills I've had "easy" hikes I've struggled with, granted I have a heart condition on top of all of it so I have to rest more but man going straight up a trail in the Appalachian range is killer

Personally I think forms of foraging like berry picking, mushroom collecting hunting and fishing are some of the best ways to really connect with nature but I do have my qualms with how fishing is practiced in the name of accessibility. It can still be accessible without being damaging

Its an expansion of colonial ideals of dominion over nature and a need to conquer instead of understand our place with nature and wilderness as active participants
