He he, not so soon, because recent voices from the political administrations indicate a deficit of at least 9% in 2025. Some may say in-between 8,4 - 9,0%, others point to above 10% (crazy). wtfromania.leaflet.pub/3m274ubrzbk2d
10% inflation - wtf Romania
The sky is the limit around here.

It is problematic because Romania is far from its 2,5% target. 2025 saw no policy rate changes and 2026 is most likely to be on par, at least for the first six months.

The Central Bank @bnr.ro is optimistic that following the July 2026 moment prices will stabilize. Not so soon, because severe droughts have pushed food prices up.

And... certain food items are also "capped". That cap is bound to expire in March 2026. Inflation? Only up.
September 30, 2025 at 8:03 AM
When the cap was lifted in July, prices went through the rooftop, pushing the general inflation towards 10%.

Prices will most likely stabilize in July 2026, but it is hard for a government that faces the risk of far-right to tell a compelling story with 68% electricity inflation.

They were flat for the past two years as a result of the governmental policy of capping the final prices that consumers paid.

Attention: the real energy costs was higher, but the government was paying it. Subsidizing it, basically.

Those are the same people who critique US universities for failing to foster critical thought. How dumb do you have to be to graduate a four years course from top university and then be like: yeah, not enough space for tech business and US politics. Abysmal.

But again, the "bright minds" will cheer saying HELL YESS we need more companies and politics to mix and match. Have you heard about lobbying, the chamber of commerce, business groups, PACs, direct phone calls between CEOs and the President?

It is a mandatory read nevertheless, given the sheer audacity of people like Karp who put on the cape of "it is time to discuss how tech can influence politics". Bro, everyone has talked about this for decades, do not act like you are the first to ask for this important discussion.
