I like to harp on Scorsese as a fella I like more than I love (and especially 21st Century Scorsese almost uniformly leaves me cold) but the man has gone to the mat for cinema's survival as an artform and has more than a few masterpieces where he locked in and shook us up.

While I'm at it with deranged resemblances to people that few people will feel me on, I rewatched The Last Unicorn last night and every time Schmendrick the Magician was on-screen, I kept seeing Tyler Lyle of the synthwave band The Midnight.

Call me crazy, this doesn't read nearly as negative as the internet seems to treat it as. It also doesn't read at all like the writer of the review missed that this is faithful - barring the "good-looking" part - to Shelley's novel, given the literal following paragraph acknowledges the accuracy.
