2-0 win for the lasses, had to grind it out. Bristol City losing at home means they are now level with them on points having played a game less, only GD keeping them out of that promotion play off spot.

Don’t deserve to be losing, some quite frankly dreadful officiating. Both linesman essentially ornaments for both their goal and the non-red for Digne. Their keeper may well bail them out by allowing us back into the game. #NUFC

Not the team I would’ve selected, although I suspect options are more limited than we thought (Wissa, Botman). Villa’s selection is interesting as well, so although form suggests a home win, we have a chance. #NUFC

Bruno is a huge loss. It might not turn out to be the full two months, but a blow regardless. Thankfully Ramsey and Willock have been improving. Could do with Miley and J7 back soon though. Might be some mileage in playing 4-4-1-1 with Nick in the 10. #NUFC

Mackems v Scousers tonight. Initially torn as to what result to hope for, but settled on mass brawl, match abandoned, then multiple lengthy player bans and points deductions. #NUFC

Saturday will give us a better indication of whether we’ve actually turned a corner or whether Dr Spurs struck again. I imagine suffering the equaliser set back but getting straight back in front, then seeing the result out, will be a huge boost for the lads, I’m certainly boosted by it. 😁 #NUFC

Thank the Lord! A win by any means was needed tonight, a bonus it came with a good performance. Not perfect by any means, but that clearly isn’t a team that isn’t invested in the manager. After many false dawns this season, please let that be something we can build on. #NUFC

Spurs have been dreadful, we’ve been very good. Can’t imagine they’ll continue to be so poor second half and can we manage a full 90 mins decent performance? #NUFC

Phew! The lasses win away from home, just. Three points off third now, with a game in hand (but inferior goal difference). Clinging on to the hope of promotion, with home against bottom club Portsmouth next weekend.

After last night, last season feels like a distant memory. It’s alarming how far we are from those performances. A lot of papering over cracks is coming home to roost & miracle work to outpace reality has gone as far as it can.

We can rightly point to moments across the tie that didn’t go our way, but fundamentally Man City are an infinitely more ruthless & clinical team than #NUFC at the moment and thoroughly deserve the comfortable aggregate they achieved. We are miles off them, really.
